Whether it be a visit to a serene garden, an erupting
volcano or a modern attraction, our experienced staff has
seen and done it all in Hawaii. We’ve compiled a “best
of “ list to make sure you see the very best attractions
Hawaii has to offer. The following sites should not be
missed when traveling the beautiful Hawaiian Islands!
USS
Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor
This beautiful
memorial commemorates the 1,177 sailors and marines that
lost their lives when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on
December 7, 1941. The 608-foot sunken ship remains submerged
under
water and sits directly underneath the open-air memorial.
Polynesian Cultural
Center
The Polynesian
Cultural Center is a huge recreation center/ village that
takes visitors through the history and culture of Polynesia.
You’ll get a firsthand look into the intriguing lifestyles
and traditions of the seven Pacific islands—Tahiti, Tonga,
Hawaii, New Zealand, Marquesas, Samoa and Fiji. There is
plenty of entertainment, shopping and eating here as well.
Stick around for the Polynesian Cultural Center’s luau, one of the best in Oahu.
Waimea Valley and
Adventure Park
The Waimea Valley
and Adventure Park is an enticing getaway for families, for a
romantic interlude, for an adventure, or just about anything
else. See professional
cliff divers, stroll through tropical gardens, go horseback riding, mountain biking, kayaking or
hiking; or just relax in a hammock overlooking a tropical
vista –it’s all here.
Hawaii Volcanoes
National Park
A slew of natural
amenities - driving the Kilauea Caldera, trekking
through the Thurston Lava Tube, or visiting the Steam Vents
- add to the excitement of exploring the active volcano,
Kilauea.
Incredibly, the volcano has been erupting for more
than a decade, sometimes spewing fountains of lava hundreds
of feet into the air, other times oozing lava down its slope
and into the sea. The largest petroglyph park in North
America, Puu Loa, is also located at the national park.
Puuhonua O Honaunau
National Historic Park
It
would be a mistake to visit Hawaii without seeing some of
its historic sites. One of the best is the Puuhonua O
Honaunau National Historic Park, a 16th-century
sacred refuge for the ancient Hawaiians and one of the most
beautiful parks on The Big Island.
Archeological finds here include burial sites, old trails,
parts of an ancient village and more.
