  Overview

Island Breeze Luau is one of the better hotel luaus with a canoe arrival of King Kamehameha and his court, conch blowing and a procession to see the pig removed from the Imu. There are a batch of lawn activities like palm hat weaving, coconut opening, palm tree climbing, and lei making. Kids particularly like the removable Hawaiian tattoos. Hawaiian music plays during the meal and after sunset. There's a hula show afterwards.

After activities work up an appetite, it’s time for Lomi Salmon Sushi, Koka Poke samples, and four or five salads, rice and sweet potatoes and main event -- Lau-laus steamed in taro or banana leaves, Kalua Pig, Chicken Long Rice and what fish is freshest in the morning market. Deserts include coconut cake and a better Haupia pudding. Mai tais and standard bar service is available. Luaus run Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at $53 for adults and $20 for 6-12 year old children. These include tips and tax.
